UPLAN Governing Council leaders will head to Washington, D.C. in May to meet with a senior official in the Department of Education to propose the creation of an Office of Parent Engagement to assure that authentic parent voices are heard in the creation of all policies that affect children and families. Parent leaders will also meet with other public officials and advocacy groups to share their founding vision and policy platform for children and families.
